  1. I watched this show for several seasons and I thought It was a good show, up until the point Macguyver left. The other characters never became strong enough in my opinion to stand on their own without Richard Dean Anderson and not long after he left the show most of the people I know who watched it (including myself) stopped watching it. Interestingly enough, Stargate: Atlantis used the same formula as earlier seasons of Stargate: SG1 and seems to work although I just never managed to get into it.

  2. I fixed the article link, but it basically stated that it’s not ending due to ratings. They are down from last season (from 2.6M viewers to 2M), but they consider this leaving on a high note. They also said they’d have plenty of time to end the show properly and tie up any loose ends. It’s a lot better than most canceled shows get.

  3. For a long time, this was my favorite show on TV, and I had EVERY freakin channel due to a defective cable box (thankfully got that fixed, as porn was actually getting boring). For me, it was actually world of warcraft and tivo that caused me to stop watching it regularly. It was one of those shows that I just couldn’t watch while playing, as it was that good (demanded focused attention, which is hard to do while playing a game you can’t pause), so I just started letting them collect on my tivo for a few months at a time and then I would sit down to watch them all together. Very efficient, very enjoyable, great idea…. unitl one day my old gen 1 tivo with its tiny little hard drive recorded over a few shows and suddenly I was left out of sinc. I tried to pick it up a few times, but to my dismay most of my favorite cast members where gone for some reason I missed, and it their spots had been taken over by folks from my previous favorite show, Farscape (dethroned due to cancelation, which actually happened about two years too late in my opinion). Oddly the Farscape infusion didn’t help, even though both actors are top notch in my book. I look forward to seeing how they tie things up. Maybe they can live on in movies, but not like Star Trek did hopefully, but rather Firefly (all time favorite cancelled show). If it was me, I would add Gigi Edgley to the cast (Chiana from Farscape), and then maybe Gina Torres (Zoe from Firefly, cuz
Morena Baccarin who played Inara is just too hot to film without the special lenses they must have developed for her). Stargate Atlantis never did ti for me at all, so when the original is gone, I probably will not have much reason to watch the sci-fi channel until Archangel and I produce a new made for tv sci-fi epic full of the hotest chicks we can talk into dressing like strippers, which probably won’t be too hard, as most of them will probably actually be strippers. Hell, who cares if we make the show, lets just move forward with casting ASAP!!!!
