Funny or Die Best of 2009

Website Funny or Die posted their top 10 “must see” videos of 2009. 3 of these videos are actually must see, so I’m including them here:

Lindsay Lohan’s eHarmony profile
I would still totally date this chick. The hard part would be coming up with a profile that matched me with her without banning me from eHarmony.

Rachel Bilson’s deleted sex scene
While this is funny, it’s also gross. When you get grossed out, just skip ahead to 3:15. Also note the indie/art film director is actually McG, director of the prestigious art house sensation Charlies Angel’s 2: Full Throttle.

Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis
Zach interviews Natalie Portman. It’s somewhat reminiscent of the Chris Farley celebrity interviews, minus the endearing charm, plus a lot more creepiness.

  1. Could not finish the Rachel Bilson video, too much testosterone in my bloodstream. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

But was the Lindsay Lohan video a real commercial? Hard to believe she would spoof herself like that. Well, Marlon Brando did it in “The Freshman” but then he was being paid movie-star money. Don’t know how much Lindsay made from the commercial. I am still crazy in believing that she could mount (sic) a comeback in 2010; she still has real acting chops and perhaps could stay away from booze/drugs/parties long enough to give us one more memorable performance that’s not in the tabloids.

If I saw her in the Academy Awards’ “people we lost in 2010” I would get really depressed.

  2. Yeah, I didn’t finish the Bilson one, either.

It’s important to note that Funny or Die is Will Ferrell’s site, and he gets a lot of celebrities to do funny sketches, including those that poke fun of themselves. James Franco is featured in several that poke fun of his rep as a self-important, overly serious actor. Lohan is doing the same and I applaud her for it. My hunch is that she’s trying to say, “Don’t believe everything you read in the tabloids,” while acknowledging she’s done some questionable things.

  3. Be thankful you didn’t watch the whole Bilson video. I was torn between laughing and looking for a grapefruit spoon with which to gouge my eyes out.
